LUNG CLEANSER

Siraitia grosvenorii, also known as luo han guo or monk fruit, is a traditional East Asian fruit used both as a natural sweetener and in herbal preparations. Its characteristic sweetness comes from mogrosides, a group of triterpene glycosides that are intensely sweet yet non-caloric.[5,6] Beyond taste, extracts rich in mogrosides have demonstrated antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties in experimental models, helping to neutralize reactive oxygen species and limit glycation-related damage.[5]

In a lung-focused supplement like LUNG CLEANSER, which combines thyme leaf, ivy leaf and forsythia suspensa, Siraitia grosvenorii contributes a complementary “soothing and protective” role for the respiratory tract. Preclinical studies show that mogroside-rich extracts and specific mogrosides from S. grosvenorii can attenuate inflammatory responses and oxidative stress in lung tissue, including models of particulate-matter exposure and acute lung injury.[1,2,9,10] By helping to modulate inflammatory signaling pathways (such as NF-κB–related cascades) and reduce oxidative burden, Siraitia grosvenorii supports a healthier airway environment. Forsythia suspensa leaf comes from a traditional East Asian medicinal shrub long used in herbal formulas aimed at clearing heat and supporting the upper respiratory tract. The leaves contain polyphenols, phenylethanoid glycosides such as forsythiaside, triterpenoids and other antioxidant constituents.[4] Experimental work shows that extracts and isolated components from F. suspensa can reduce production of inflammatory mediators and oxidative stress markers in cell and animal models, in part through activation of Nrf2-dependent antioxidant pathways and down‑regulation of NF‑κB signaling.[1,8,9] Leaf-derived compounds like phillygenin have also demonstrated analgesic and anti‑inflammatory effects in vivo.[11]

In the LUNG CLEANSER formula—alongside thyme leaf, ivy leaf and Siraitia grosvenorii—Forsythia suspensa leaf contributes to the product’s core “inflammation and oxidative balance” pillar for the airways.
